About Progression to Analog
In Progression to Analog, Caitlin Begg, founder of Authentic Social and sociological researcher, speaks with practitioners and academics across Europe about ways to explore a more human everyday amidst technological modernity. Progression to Analog aims for listeners to emerge from each episode with practical strategies for a more human-centered and technologically balanced personal and professional life as well as with a nuanced comprehension of the underlying structures shaping the broader aspects of technological modernity.
I founded Authentic Social in 2016 after writing my undergraduate Harvard sociology honors thesis on how digital communication affects relationships and social interaction.
Authentic Social brings an education-forward approach to sociotechnical systems strategy, with a focus in social selling, communication, & people operations for hybrid and remote organizations.
“Especially within a sales and communication context, an over-reliance on AI can risk robotic, insensitive, spammy or off-topic messaging,” Caitlin Begg, founder of Authentic Social, said via email.
“Sales teams [copying] and pasting messages without a personalized touch will result in lower response rates and lower prospect and client satisfaction,” she warned.

“In this episode of the MindBodySpace podcast, Dr. Juna speaks with sociological researcher and Authentic Social founder Caitlin “Caity” Begg about the effects of digital communication and hyper-communication on human relationships and interactions. They discuss how the rise of texting, social media, and constant connectivity has impacted the way we converse, date, work, and even think. Caity provides insights from her research on improving communication and promoting more presence despite our tech-driven world.”
Dr. Juna is a Mom-M.D., certified by Harvard Medical School for Mind-Body Medicine, and is on faculty at The Juilliard School where she teaches "The Science of Resilience for Peak Performance & Happiness".
Concurrently, I am conducting ongoing independent sociological research, with a focus in technology's effect on conversation, sociotechnical systems, and artificial intelligence.
